The EWC collects and publishes data on the engineering
workforce that is useful for a variety of different
users. Many use our enrollments and degrees data to
better understand the changing demographics of the engineering
workforce. Recruiters can use the fine detail of these
reports to learn the number, gender, race/ethnicity,
and field of study of the engineering student body at
any college in the country. Others are interested in
whether the ebb and flow of new engineers is keeping
up with the demand pressures that are measured by the
EWC's salary survey. Or some may wish to compare their
own compensation policies with industry standards.
These are just some examples of the information made
available by the EWC. A great way to learn more is to
attend one of our full commission meetings, held once
each spring and fall. EWC Associate Members attend for
free.
The EWC's quarterly bulletin Engineers is another great
overview of all the EWC's work.
